Aqaba and the Red Sea: Jordan's Other Coastline

While the Dead Sea gets most of the attention, Aqaba on Jordan's short Red Sea coastline offers something completely different: real coral reefs, warm water through most of the year, and a laid-back port-city atmosphere after the intensity of Petra and Wadi Rum.
The diving and snorkeling here is genuinely underrated — several accessible reef and wreck sites sit just offshore, well suited to both certified divers and complete beginners taking an introductory dive. Water temperatures rarely drop below the low 20s°C even in winter, which makes Aqaba a viable year-round stop unlike some of Jordan's other outdoor destinations.
Aqaba also works as a practical endpoint: it's roughly two hours from Wadi Rum and around four from Petra, so a south-to-north or north-to-south Jordan itinerary can close (or open) here comfortably. For clients who want a beach-and-relax day to balance out a history-and-desert-heavy trip, it's one of the easiest single-day additions in our Hotels and Transfers catalog.
